Galvanic isolation enhanced EV / HEV security, performance and reliability

· Car Charger : 400-450V energy storage by a lithium-ion battery , this battery relies car charger ; car charger by a power factor correction (PFC) composed of an AC-DC converter by the battery management system (BMS ) monitoring. The charger can be adapted to a variety of external rechargeable power supply, ranging from single-phase three-phase AC 110V to 380V.

 

· Battery Management System: BMS battery unit consists of monitoring and management to ensure high efficiency and safety . BMS monitoring of each battery cell , the state , the discharge depth and adjustment degree .

 

· DC-DC Converters : DC-DC converter connected to the internal 12V DC high-voltage battery network , as well as car accessories to provide energy, as well as local switching converter provides the bias voltage. The converter is usually reversible , electricity can flow into or out of the battery .

 

· Auxiliary inverter charger : Hyundai Motor utilization belt to drive engine accessories, such as air conditioning and power steering pump . EV / HEV requires auxiliary inverter to generate the required power to drive these accessories .

 

· Main inverter : the master inverter drive motor , but also for regenerative braking , the unused energy back to the battery deposit .

 

Various benefits of digital isolators can be used in different combinations to make EV / HEV electrical system more secure. Figure 3 shows the master solar grid tie inverter module use position of the isolator . These converters can convert the voltage and current to meet the power needs of the device , and the use of isolation to achieve security and level shifting .
